Robyn was born in sunny Queensland, Australia where she stilll lives today, working from her home studio in a picturesque valley within a short one hour's drive of the state's capital, Brisbane.

Robyn's background has been in designing , making and teaching the art of contemporary ceramic jewellery, an art form she has exhibited widely throughout Australia for over 15 years. (
See Craft Arts International Magazine, Issue 45, Portfolio No. 180).

Robyn made the move to her new medium of glass after securing funding in 2003, from RADF, Regional Arts Development Funding, from the Pine Rivers Shire and the Queensland Government.

Robyn says, "This gave me the opportunity to acquire new skills I needed to work with glass as medium.  I took one on one tutoring with lampwork artist, Lisa Delanoue at the Sunshine Coast Hot Glass Studios at Yandina, Qld."  The reflective properties of transparent glass, and the lush colours of the opaques, has given Robyn inspiration for infinite design possibilities.  "I can't wait for the challenges that lie ahead" !
